Notes

  • Of this repository's 22 mods, this is the only one that can send conversation-related data to an external third party. It works only if you set jevApiKey (/config) or put in the TYPESAFE_API_KEY/AI_GATEWAY_API_KEY environment variable, and with the default (no key) nothing is sent and only local rules are used. jevApiKey is declared sensitive:true in plugin.json, and its description states that 'for each spawn, the task description and the first 6,000 characters are sent to api.typesafe.ai'. This satisfies the k-mods principle that 'features that send conversation content off the device are off by default and on only when the user turns them on'.
  • The Jev call does not use $.model.*. It calls an external paid API directly with $.http.fetch, so it is billed separately to your TypeSafe/Vercel AI Gateway account, not to your Claude usage (about $0.00003 per call; if there is no answer within 2.5 seconds, it falls back to the rules).
